Navan road Club hosted their club championships over the weekend with a time trial and road race. Our sprocket Rockets & Seniors took part & with super weather the turn out was big.
We started on Saturday with the time trial where Joseph Mullen took the gold for the boys and Emma Smith with the gold in the girls with some incredible times. On Sunday the road race produced some excellent cycling on our Cannistown circuit. Our sprocket Rockets started the day with a 1 lap race where Lilly Fitzsimons held on to take the gold from a chasing pack.
Our underage and Seniors set off for a 4 lap race to see who would pick up the Frank Reilly perpetual Cup.There was a steady race for the first 3 laps and at the start of the final lap the race kicked into gear,it was nip and tuck to see who would take the gold but in the end Darragh Lenehan won out bringing home the Cup with Luke Bernie taking the silver and Joseph Mullen finishing with the Bronze.
A big thanks to the parents for their support and to our Race organizers, Marshalls and everyone who helped out to make this a safe and enjoyable Weekend.
